The Disco Fever Band are a unique six piece band that prides itself on exciting, dynamic performances. First and foremost we love what we do!
Playing a variety of 70's, Disco and Funk classics which will provide you with an opportunity to 'get down with it' on the dance floor. The versatile 6 piece line up consists of male and female lead vocals, drums, bass guitar, electric guitar and keyboards.
The dual male and female vocals, supported by rich backing vocals from the other bands members creates an energetic and varied sound. The line up & instrumentation of the band enables flexibility, energy and excitement that only a live band can achieve as no backing tracks or midi files are used.
The Disco Fever Band are...
We are a stylish 1970s disco band and because our dress code is impressively smart we are therefore suitable for a wide variety of venues and events:
We usually play for 2 x 45 minute sets and encore, but can play for 2 x 60 min's if required, that’s over 2 hours of fantastic live disco music! We arrive with our own equipment and lights and we can even provide CD’s for in-between sets if requested. Do you have any song requests? If you wish, we can play requested songs at your event, however please provide the request details at least one month prior to the event.
THE BAND
Bass - Darren ... PGCE, BA(hons) Music
Darren loves music and is a qualified music teacher working in a middle school.
He plays bass in the band but also plays electric guitar and keyboard. Darren
has a wealth of experience playing in live bands and has also worked for Universal
Music in London. Darren is also the project co-ordinator of the band.
Lead Female Vocals - Fiona
You must hear this sexy diva sing! Performing from an early age, Fiona has performed
live with artists such as Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes and has also been
writing her own songs. Fiona has worked with producers One Chalice of ShenShen
Productions and Georgeyo of the Wah Wah Collective.
Drums - Geoff
Geoff has a fantastic feel for the drums and his energy and charisma will bring
any performance to life. Geoff has a great deal of experience performing in
live bands all over the UK. He also teaches privately.
Lead Male Vocals - Nick
Nick has performed with numerous funk and soul bands over the years and has
the vocal power and fun personality to impress any audience. Since getting through
the high pressure auditions of X-Factor, Nick has also had the pleasure of meeting
Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne & Louis Walsh at the 2005 X-Factor boot camp!
Keyboard - Helen QTS
Helen is an amazing keyboard player often playing 2 or more music elements at
once! Her natural talent and musicality shine in every performance. Helen also
teaches music in schools and teaches piano privately.
Guitar - Conrad
Conrad is an exceptional guitarist with years of experience performing in the
UK and Ireland. Conrad is a fantastic rhythm player with solos to electrify
and delight any audience.
